The only F1 car developed and built entirely by Porsche, the Type 804 is all about function. Weighing only 461 kg, the aluminum body hugs a 8-cylinder motor that is exposed at the rear. Later improvements included a trailing arm rear suspension not shown on these renderings. Raced for only one year, Dan Gurney drove the 804 to victory at the 1962 French Grand Prix.
